This Monday evening marks the end of another year of catechism instruction. The children did very well this past year, for which we give thanks to our heavenly Father. May our children continue to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, that they may perform the good works in which God has before ordained that they should walk.

YP Convention chaperones! Thank you to those who have volunteered. We are happy to say that we now have enough adults to supervise over this convention. Those who have applied will be hearing from the chaperone committee by the first week of June. By then, we hope to have the total number of conventioneers, so we can have a better understanding of how many of us will be needed. Thank you for your willingness to help!

Young People: The registration deadline for the 2008 YP Convention has been extended from May 1 to May 15: so you still have time to send in your registration forms if you plan to attend. Space is limited, so register soon! We MUST have all forms in by May 15. We look forward to seeing you there!

Wednesday, May 7: Adams Chr. School Kindergarten Program will be held at 7:30 p.m. at Southwest PRC. Refreshments will be served afterwards.

Thur. May 8: Hope Chr. School's Jr. High Choir Concert (grades 7-9) will be held 7:30 p.m. at Hope School.

Thursday, May 8: Heritage Chr. School Kindergarten Round-up invitations have been mailed. Round-up will be held at 9:30 a.m. at the school. If you plan to send your future kindergartner to Heritage next year, and did not receive an invitation, please call the school (669-1773).

May 9, 16, 22: Mark your calendars for a marriage conference “God and Marriage” held at Hudsonville PR Church at 7:30 p.m. on the following dates: Friday, May 9, “God’s Design for Marriage;” Friday, May 16, “God’s Calling of Husbands and Wives in Marriage;” Thursday, May 22, “God’s Way of Building and Strengthening Your Marriage”. Invite a neighbor or take a friend. Nursery will be provided with refreshments afterward.

Thursday, May 15: Heritage Chr. School’s grades 4 through 9 choirs will present a choir concert at Georgetown PRC at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.

Sunday, May 18: The Choirs of Covenant Chr. High will present a concert at 8:15 p.m. at Faith PRC.

Monday, May 19: PR Special Education Society will hold it's annual meeting at Heritage Chr. School at 7:30 p.m. Please prayerfully consider joining this society. New members are always welcome!

Thursday, May 22: Hope School Elementary Music Program (grades 1-4) will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Grandville High School Auditorium.

Saturday, May 31: Please reserve from 4:00 till 7:00 p.m. to help us celebrate Mr. Harry Langerak’s 44 years of faithfully teaching our children. A reception for him will be held in Covenant Christian High gym. Please bring your memories and hearty congratulations on a career well done.

Adams Chr. School continues its annual support drive with a goal of $250,000. Information has been mailed. If you did not get the information, please call the school office (531-0748). Please remember this need and send your gift or pledge to the school by May 8. We ask that you return your commitment form even if you are unable to contribute at this time.

Covenant Christian High Support Drive Update: Through mid-April, approximately $148,000 in drive contributions have been received. The Finance Committee of CCHS thanks our Heavenly Father that, through the generosity of our supporters, we have received 70% of the $206,000 drive goal. We will be sending out a letter with a drive envelope to help us raise the $58,000 still needed by mid-summer to reach our goal for this year. Please continue to remember this worthy cause with your gifts.
