Sioux Falls Bible Study

What: A Bible study in the Sioux Falls, SD area for Reformed believers.
Where: former Calvin Christian School 700 S. Sneve Ave.

When:
2nd & 4th Monday Evenings.

The Bible Study Society of Heritage PR Fellowship will begin our season on Wednesday, October 10, 2007.  We meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM in the library of Sioux Falls Christian Elementary located at 700 S. Sneve, just a few blocks south of the Applebees on 10th St.

Canons Class resumes meeting on Wednesday, Sept 26, 2007 at 7:45PM at Faith Protestant Reformed Church, Jenison, MI and each 2nd and 4th Wednesday thereafter.  Prof. David Engelsma leads the class.  The study  is on "The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit."  All, young and old, are welcome.

Coming events in Northern Ireland and the United Kingdom


September 5, 2007 (and following Wednesdays) -- Attention College Students:  If you plan to attend college in the NW Iowa area, there will be a Protestant Reformed Bible Study held every Wednesday at Dordt College.  The first meeting will be September 5 at 7:00 PM in C175 with discussion taken from II Peter.  We hope to see you there and be sure to invite your friends!

October 4, 2007 (and following first Thursdays of each month) -- Trinity Christian College Bible Study: The Bible study at Trinity Christian College started last year will continue this year.  Pastor Mahtani plans to meet with all interested students the first Thursday of each month at the Alumni Hall classroom.  The first meeting is scheduled for October 4, 2007 at 6:00 p.m.  All PR students attending Trinity are encouraged to attend and also to invite others to join this Bible study.  At the first meeting on Oct 4 we will confirm what we plan to study this school year.


May 9, 16, 22, 2008 -- Mark your calendars for a marriage conference “God and Marriage” held at Hudsonville Protestant Ref. Church at 7:30 p.m. on the following dates:  Friday. May 9 “God’s Design for Marriage” ;  Friday, May 16 “God’s Calling of Husbands and Wives in Marriage” ;  Thursday, May 22 “God’s Way of Building and Strengthening Your Marriage”. Invite a neighbor or take a friend. Nursery will be provided with refreshments afterward.

June 14, 2008 -- The Domestic Mission Committee is sponsoring a second Mission Awareness Day to be held on Saturday, June 14, 2008, at Georgetown PRC, Grand Rapids, MI. Through this Mission Awareness Day, members of the Protestant Reformed Churches will be able to become more familiar with the mission/evangelism work being done by the official mission committees of our denomination as well as learn of the work our local congregations are engaged in. More details will follow.

June 30 - July 3, 2008 -- Hope Protestant Reformed Church in Redlands, California is planning a young adults' retreat for this summer.  The dates for the retreat are June 30 through July 3, 2008.  The theme will be "Maintaining a Spiritual Life."  The text is II Peter 3: 17 and 18.  The retreat will be for adults ages 19 and older.  Information about the retreat can be found at http://www.hopeprc.org/retreat.  If necessary, emails can be sent to: retreat@hopeprc.org  More details will be available in the near future.

July 1, 8, 15, and 22, 2008 -- Mark your calendar now for the summer class series hosted by Hope's (Walker) Reformed Witness Committee led by Professor Hanko. This year the topic to be discussed is “The Sanctifying Power of Suffering.”  The dates for these classes are July 1, 8, 15, and 22.  They will be held at Hope PRC at 7:30 p.m.

June 30-July 3, 2008 -- Advance notice:  Hope Protestant Reformed Church in Redlands, California is planning a Young Adults' Retreat for the summer of 2008.  Lord willing, it will be from June 30 to July 3 for adults that are 19 and older.  Please wait for further details about registration, cost, and other information. 

July 14-18, 2008 -- Protestant Reformed Young People's convention at Covenant Hills Camp, about 15 miles east of Flint, MI.

July 25-August 1, 2008 -- British Reformed Fellowship Conference at Share Centre, Co. Fermanagh, Republic of Ireland, D.V.

September 19, 2008 -- The Loveland Protestant Reformed Church is planning, D.V., to have their 50th year anniversary celebration on September 19, 2008. Plan now to celebrate this with us.  Those who plan on attending are requested to call Ray Ezinga at (970) 667-5702 or e-mail tammyjvan@aol.com


October 1-6, 2009 -- (Seniors--yet young at heart--are you interested in Loveland's proposal?  Please inform them as soon as possible!)  The Loveland P. R. adults are working on plans for an adult retreat for seniors in the Fall (Oct. 1 - 6) of 2009. The young adults have their retreats, why not the "old" adults?  The theme for the retreat would be "Seasons of Our Lives as Pictured in the Four Seasons of the Year."  It would be held at the YMCA in beautiful Rocky Mountain Park at the height of elk bugling and the Aspen season.  Due to the popularity of the location at that time of the year, your interest and desire to attend must be given promptly.  Please call or e-mail Dave Poortinga (970-667-9059), dnlpoortinga@juno.com or Rev.R.
