1. Jehovah hear thee in the day
When trouble He doth send;
And let our covenant-keeping God
From every ill defend. 

2. O let Him send His help to thee
Forth from His holy place;
Let Him from Zion, His own hill,
Sustain thee by His grace. 

3. May He remember all thy gifts.
Accept thy sacrifice,
And, granting thee thy heart's desire
Fulfill thy counsels wise. 

4. In thy salvation we will joy;
When thou to God dost pray,
May He give answer, in Whose Name
